TOPIC:
Increasing Demand
on Resources: Are New Technologies the Answer?
Industries across the United States are
becoming the most highly regulated industries in the world with countless
regulatory organizations changing policy and practice requirements on an annual
basis. Security and Safety Professionals are bombarded with increasing
expectations for compliance, risk management, fiscal performance, etc. Sadly, very little is offered in terms of how
to accomplish this with diminishing resources.
Emerging technologies are often touted as
ultimate solutions but may offer as much confusion and disruption as they do
opportunity. This presentation will
briefly review the attributes of emerging
technologies and offer a guide towards evaluating and selecting productive,
useful and valuable solutions.
The presentation will be both educational
and interactive. Participants will
achieve the following:
- Acquire a better understanding
of
- "Cloud Computing" or
"Web-Based" solutions
- Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Understand how to recognize and
evaluate technologies in terms of
- Security
- Redundancy
- Access Control
- Integration
